THE RESULTS OF THE PROGRAM "SPIRITUAL REVIVAL" AND MODERN METHODS IN TEACHING DOMESTIC HISTORY

On February 25, 2021, the faculty of the department of "Social disciplines" of the AUES named after Gumarbek Daukeyev organized an online round table on the program "Rukhani Zhangyru" and on teaching the history of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the university.

Professor of the Kazakh Scientific Pedagogical University named after Abai, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, doctor of historical sciences Koigeldiev Mambet Kulzhabaevich; Head of the Scientific Center "Rukhani Zhangyru" of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences Abzhanov Khangeldy Makhmutovich; Abildabek Salykbai, editor-in-chief of the journal "Kazak Tarihy"; Associate Professor of the Kazakh Scientific Pedagogical University named after Abai, candidate of historical sciences Ermukhanov Erkin; professor of the Kazakh National Agrarian University, candidate of historical sciences Salkynbek Dosaly Isakhanovich; associate professor of the Kazakh Scientific Pedagogical University named after Abai, candidate of political sciences Kadyr Nurgalym, and scientists and teachers of the department took part in the discussion.

The moderator  Kabdushev Bolat Zholamanovichstressed the importance of teaching the history of Kazakhstan in universities. It is necessary to implement the goals and objectives in this direction, proposed by Elbasy in the article "Looking into the future: spiritual renewal" and by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in the article "Independence is the most precious thing."

Vice-rector for academic affairs Mahmutov Serik Kapanovich wished success to the participants of the round table in teaching the history of Kazakhstan, in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism and respect for national history.

Academician Koigeldiev made a presentation on the problems and goals facing historical science in teaching at the university.

Academician H.M. Abzhanov noted the need to teach the subject "History of Kazakhstan" in universities. The obligatory state exam is "History of Modern Kazakhstan". The need to develop school textbooks and textbooks for universities and the need to focus on teaching significant events and personalities, and not on statistics when teaching the subject of history, arose.

The editor-in-chief of the magazine "Kazak Tarihy" Abildabek Salykbai, "History of Kazakhstan", spoke about the important role of the journal in popularizing historical knowledge.
