On February 25, an introductory seminar of the USAID "Energy of Central Asia" project in Kazakhstan with the participation of the staff of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeev was held.

This seminar was held jointly with the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This event is the official opening of the USAID Energy of Central Asia project in Kazakhstan. After that, launches in other Central Asian countries will follow. During the seminar, issues of supporting ongoing reforms in the energy sector to achieve national goals in the field of clean energy, the integration of renewable energy sources, as well as increasing energy efficiency were discussed.

In addition, the project staff provided a more detailed overview of the main goals and work directions both in Kazakhstan and in the region. Representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC “Samruk Energy”, JSC “Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company” (KEGOC), energy companies, international organizations and other project partners and stakeholders in Kazakhstan adopted participation in a seminar.
