The masters of expressive reading have been identified

Modern youth, along with program knowledge, should learn to think creatively, i.e. "dream". Fiction inspires dreams. It is no coincidence that the English science fiction writer N. Gaiman remarked: "A book is a dream that you hold in your hands."

 In order to educate creatively thinking student youth inspired by reading, from February 15 to February 25, 2021, at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, the first selection round of the student international competition "The best reader of M. Auezov's epic novel "Abai's Way" was held.

In the competition, students of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeev, Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai, Atyrau State University named after Kh.Dosmukhamedov, Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering from Aktau, Karaganda Technical University, Nukus State Pedagogical Institute, State Pedagogical Institute named after Navoi from the city Navoi of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan and foreign universities took part. The participants of the first round, in accordance with the requirements of the competition, read expressively an excerpt from the epic novel "Abai's Way". The competition committee took into account the literacy of speech, stage culture and performing skills of the readers.

Of the 47 applicants, 25 students were selected to participate in the second round. Videos with students' performances can be seen on their personal Instagram pages, hashtag #UzdikoqyrmanAUES, #Abaizholy.
