IN THE SPIRIT OF PATRIOTISM, FRIENDSHIP AND MUTUAL SUPPORT!

On the Thanksgiving Day - March 1, at the Almaty University of power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, lectures on topics aimed at instilling a spirit of patriotism among students, respect for the history and culture of Kazakhstan, commitment to solidarity, friendship and mutual support were held.

The lectures were organized and conducted by faculty of the Department “Social Disciplines. In the unanimous opinion of the lecturers, the Thanksgiving Day carries a lot of meaning. He unites the people of Kazakhstan. The values of friendship and mutual assistance are enduring, and they are shared by the entire population of the country. One of the main messages of the holiday is “Remember and be proud of your history”.

The Kazakh people first celebrated the Day of Thanksgiving in 2016. The first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, announced January 14, 2016 as the day of the Assembly of the Peoples of Kazakhstan. March 1 was declared the Day of Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving Day is a bright day of Kazakhstani patriotism, unity and friendship.

According to Professor Mukhambedyarova A.T., Thanksgiving Day is a day of honoring each citizen of the country to each other, who overcame a difficult time on the way of building Independent Kazakhstan. One of the goals of this holiday is to instill in the growing generation a sense of tolerance, respect and friendliness to each other, as well as to strengthen interethnic harmony and interethnic relations in Kazakhstan.

During the lecture given by Associate Professor A.D. Utegalieva at the Institute of Electric Power and Electrical Engineering, the reasons and history of the deportation of peoples in the late 1930s - early 1940s of the last century were revealed. Celebrating the Day of Thanksgiving, Kazakhstan reveals itself as a hospitable state, which in difficult times received millions of immigrants. Numerous historical events led to the formation of 17 religious trends in the Republic, and the population was 130 ethnic groups.

During the 20th century, about five million people were resettled from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus to the Republic of Kazakhstan. Basically, these processes did not take place at the will of the people, but because of the ongoing reforms. It was organized in a far from humane manner. The settlers were saved by the openness, benevolence, hospitality and friendliness of the Kazakhs. Kazakhstani families who lived in villages and auls received unexpected guests. The Kazakhs themselves were in a difficult household and economic situation, but this did not prevent them from sheltering people. Already at the beginning of the 20th century, Kazakhstan accepted 1.1 million people who were deported from neighboring republics.

Today, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the deported peoples express their deep gratitude to the Kazakh people and the Kazakh land for being accepted here, finding salvation, shelter, food, that they were not allowed to die of hunger, cold, disease, and these peoples survived, remained live on this earth.

In addition, the Day of Gratitude embodies kindness, mercy, mutual assistance and the unity of the people of Kazakhstan. We not only remember the spiritual feat of the Kazakh people and the hard trials that fell to the lot of all ethnic groups in our country. We look to the future with confidence, the solid foundation of which is the consent and consolidation of Kazakhstani society.

The importance of our unity is clearly demonstrated in overcoming the coronavirus pandemic. Kazakhstanis united in a united front against a new global challenge that threatens the stable development of the state.

According to the professor of the department of social disciplines Orynbekova D.S., in the year of the 30th anniversary of our Independence, we once again confirm that the path to prosperity is built on solid moral foundations, the principles of tolerance, respect for our history and love for our common Motherland - the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the modern world, globalization is blurring boundaries. Therefore, in the current century, the main test for peoples will be the test on the ability to empathize and not remain indifferent. Demonstrating respect and gratitude to the Kazakh people for their indifference to people in difficult situations is the main idea of the holiday. This is the main message of the celebration, which is celebrated on March 1 in Kazakhstan. With its help, we will be able to instill respect for history and national culture in the younger generation, which has only heard about difficult times from adults. To foster friendliness, tolerance, respect for all people on the planet, as well as to strengthen interethnic and interethnic relations.

In general, conducting such lectures should help popularize the Rukhani Zhangyru program and further strengthen the significance of the Thanksgiving Day in society....
