New quarantine restrictions have been announced in Almaty

“The chief state sanitary doctor of Almaty, Zhandarbek Bekshin, signed a new decree on quarantine restrictions,” Liter.kz reports.

The document comes into force on March 20.

Public transport (city and suburban routes):

• on weekdays according to the regular schedule;

• on weekends and holidays in the morning from 06:00 to 10:00, in the evening - from 17:00 to 22:00.

Shopping centers and trading houses:

• work ban on Saturday and Sunday;

• restriction of the working hours on holidays - from 10:00 to 17:00;

• at the weekend from 10:00 to 21:00.

Supermarkets, hypermarkets and food retail chains:

• time limit - from 06:00 to 02:00.

Grocery stores, minimarkets:

• restriction of work - from 06:00 to 24:00.

  Retail chains and non-grocery stores (stand-alone):

• restriction of work from 09:00 to 21:00.

Covered markets (grocery and non-grocery):

• work ban on Saturday and Sunday;

• on weekdays, limited hours of operation - from 06:00 to 17:00;

• on holidays, limited hours of operation - from 10:00 to 17:00.

Open markets (food, non-food):

• work ban on Saturday and Sunday;

• on weekdays, limited hours of operation - from 06:00 to 17:00;

• on holidays, limited hours of operation - from 10:00 to 17:00.

Public catering facilities (indoors), including those located in the shopping and entertainment center, trading houses with a separate entrance:

• permission to work from 07:00 to 21:00 with occupancy up to 50%, but not more than 30 places;

• on summer grounds - no more than 50 seats;

• takeaway and delivery - no time limit.

Public catering facilities without seats (non-stationary, mobile):

• takeaway and delivery only - no time limit.

Public catering facilities and food courts located in the shopping and entertainment center, trading houses:

• only for delivery and takeaway - no time limit.

A ban on mass skating has been introduced at the Medeu skating rink. At Shymbulak, it is recommended to reduce the number of visitors by 50% (up to 1,000 people).

A ban is introduced on the operation of children's correction rooms, children's and adult educational centers. Theaters, cinemas, concert halls remain banned.
