Taking into account the current situation in the city, the akim called for strengthening the prevention of CVI. He recalled the need to observe the mask regime, social distance, refrain from visiting public places, as well as avoid crowds of people as much as possible and reduce social contacts.
- In general, the city's health care system has been brought to maximum readiness. However, the main success in the fight against COVID-19 depends on how disciplined city residents will follow the orders of sanitary doctors and specialists. It depends only on ourselves when we can return to normal life, ”Bakytzhan Sagintayev emphasized and recalled that mass vaccination would begin in mid-April.
Vaccination points will be opened not only in polyclinics, but also in large shopping centers. Mobile points will also be deployed.

During his speech on the Akimat Live program, Bakytzhan Sagintayev said that in three months in Almaty there were more than 13 thousand CVI infections, while for the whole last year - 18 thousand.
According to the city's Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control, the high growth rate of infection of the population is also due to the circulation in the metropolis of the British and South African strains of the coronavirus.
The new strains are more infectious than the previous base strain, with an infection rate up to 70 percent higher. At the same time, there is a decrease in the registration of asymptomatic forms of CVI from 39% in 2020 to 32% in 2021.
According to the akim, among age groups for three weeks of this month, coronavirus infection most affected the townspeople of 20-39 years old - 38% and 40-59 years old - 27%, as well as over 60 years old - 20%.
According to the results of the analysis, the probable places of infection for three weeks of March: when visiting public places (trade, catering) -42%, over the last week - 41% - a decrease of 1%; when traveling by public transport - 18%; family events - 2%.
Given the emerging epidemiological situation in the city, the Akimat of Almaty calls for strengthening the prevention of CVI, including against the background of the detection of British and South African strains. It is necessary to observe the mask regime, social distance, refrain from visiting public places and avoid crowds of people as much as possible, as well as reduce social contacts.
The drug supply situation is stable

Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted that the Stabilization Fund of Antique Medicines has more than two months' supply - over 19.4 million packages of drugs, including 2.4 million antibiotics, 335 thousand anticoagulants, about 2.5 million acetylsalicylic acid, 78 thousand vitamins, 568 thousand hormonal drugs, 4.15 million antipyretics, 9.0 million medical products (syringes, infusion systems), 180 thousand antiviral drugs and more than 300 thousand other drugs.
749 thousand medical masks are produced daily, in the warehouses of suppliers - more than 33 million pieces. There is no shortage of masks.
All distributors confirmed that there were no problems with the supply of drugs from manufacturers and that they have significant stocks, sufficient to take into account the rush demand of the past year. The stocks of all medicines in addition to the stocks of the Stabilization Fund of Medicines of the city have been formed for periods of up to eight months.
In addition, the pharmacy chains themselves have created significant stocks of medicines in their warehouses and have noted only a slight increase in seasonal demand.
In terms of the spread of CVI, the situation in the megalopolis is much more complicated than in the summer of last year.

At a meeting of the regional coordinating council, held in an online format, Bakytzhan Sagintayev noted the seriousness of the epidemiological situation in Almaty, complicated by the spread of mutated strains of the virus.
According to him, since the beginning of the epidemic, 32,597 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered (an indicator per 100 thousand of the population is 1602.0). From January 1 to March 27, 14,856 cases of CVI were registered against 18,521 for the whole of 2020. During the day on March 27, 510 cases of coronavirus infection (local) were registered, of which 415 cases with symptoms and 95 without symptoms.
In this regard, the akim of Almaty appealed to all citizens with an appeal to strictly observe quarantine measures, social distance, wear masks, refrain from holding mass events and visiting public places.
During the meeting, entrepreneurs raised questions about granting a deferral for paying taxes, rent and other mandatory payments, as well as financial support measures. The city akimat will discuss these proposals together with the Government. On behalf of the akim of Almaty, the possibility of resuming the work of summer grounds and companies included in the Ashyk project will be considered.
In addition, the business community spoke in favor of expanding the functionality of the Ashyk project and introducing health passports for vaccinated citizens. Also, members of the regional coordinating council expressed their readiness to support the upcoming mass vaccination campaign.

The infectious diseases hospitals involved have 5,000 beds. 2746 people are hospitalized, including 133 children, 35 of them are in extremely serious condition, 257 are in serious condition, 2454 are of moderate severity.

In total, 74 medical organizations operate at the PHC level. In 39 state polyclinics of the city, an audit was carried out and new algorithms for working with patients were introduced. To monitor covid patients at the outpatient level, the number of mobile teams has increased fivefold, and 925 medical workers are involved in the field.

Vaccination is carried out according to the algorithm approved by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Three stages have been identified, according to which, first of all, immunization is subject to doctors, law enforcement officers, education and citizens who belong to risk groups - persons registered with chronic diseases.
