Day of Environmental Knowledge

April 15 is the “Day of Environmental Knowledge”. The Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan Magzum Mirzagaliyev wrote a post about the significance of this day on his Twitter page.

 “Today is the “Day of Environmental Knowledge”. It celebrates in many countries. This is an important day. The attitude to ecology and the environment also depends on the level of knowledge and understanding of the meaning of this day. It is necessary to improve knowledge in the field of environmental protection and implementation of the strategy for the sustainable development of the planet.

Carrying out educational work increases the responsibility of citizens, the younger generation, focuses on pressing environmental problems,” - the minister said.

The head of the department paid great attention to informing the population about the work being done to improve the environmental situation in the country.

Non-profit JSC "Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daueyev" do a lot to promote environmental thinking among young people. Conducting the first stage of a subject Olympiad on the subject of "Life Safety and Environmental Protection" in an online format has become one of such events.
