Scientists, researchers, engineers of AUPET create a large number of useful and interesting developments annually

On the April,26 the whole world celebrates the World Intellectual Property Day. On this day, we tell the general public about how intellectual property rights contribute to the development of innovation and creativity.

At the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev work on the protection of intellectual property rights is carried out on a regular basis. In the period from 2017 to 2021 alone, our faculty received 76 patents, of which: 7 Eurasian patents, 21 invention patents, 26 utility model patents and 22 copyright certificates. More than 400 objects of intellectual property have been registered since the foundation of the university.

In 2017, the university was awarded government awards for participation in the international specialized exhibition "Astana EXPO-2017" and presented the following exhibits: "Energy of the Great Steppe" KazZhelKuat-VRTB " made by Academician Albert Vasilyevich Bolotov and "Self-regulating drive of a wind turbine generator" made by Professor Ivanov Konstantin Samsonovich.

More than 50 integrated wind-sun energy systems based on the Bolotov rotary wind turbine with a capacity of 2 to 50 kW are in operation in Kazakhstan thanks to scientific developments at AUPET. Also in Kazakhstan more than 200 units of hot water boilers, developed by professor of the Academy of Sciences Orumbaev Rakhimzhan Kabievich, were installed.

Scientists, researchers, engineers of AUPET annually create a large number of useful and interesting developments in the following areas: Innovative Technologies, Heat Power Engineering, Information Technologies, Electric Power Engineering, Telecommunications and Information Security.
