Victory that the descendants will not forget

On May 4, 2021, faculty of the department “Social Disciplines” Abdykalyk A.A. and Bisenova A.Z. held an online round table with students of the groups EEк-19-1,4,14. The topic of the round table was “Urpaktar Umytpaityn Zhenis”. It was dedicated to the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory. The purpose of the event was to pay tribute to the veterans and to preserve the memory of the great feat of the warriors - Kazakhstanis during the Great Patriotic War, to instill in the youth the feelings of Kazakhstani patriotism and interest in the history of their country. Students took an active part in this event and made meaningful reports and presentations. Within the framework of the round table, reports devoted to both the combat paths of the participants in hostilities and the fate of those who remained in the rear were presented. It was noted that there is not a single family in the post-Soviet space that has not been touched by the war. In this regard, students proudly talked about their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, about what they experienced at the front and in the rear.        

Such events are of great educational value. Building a paradigm for preserving the historical memory and historical heritage of the victorious people in the Great Patriotic War through the upbringing and cultivation in the family of personal family involvement in these events, the continuity of feelings of respect and duty towards the victorious soldiers and their exploits occurs at such events. Today, more than ever, the lessons of the Second World War should be remembered. We hope that today's generation will follow the example of the heroism and dedication shown by older generations of veterans.
