Victory Day is a significant and exciting holiday for all Kazakhstanis, the embodiment of the strength and unity of our people. May 9 is one of the few holidays when people think about the importance of a clear sky over their heads, and most importantly about the opportunity to raise and educate children in a free country.

Seventy-six years ago, our Veterans gave a stern rebuff to the destruction of fascism. Many of our compatriots died in the Second World War. The tragic events of those days affected every family.

May 9 is a bright and at the same time sad holiday. We will always remember the courage and heroism of the defenders of the Fatherland, who gave us the opportunity to live in our native and free Earth. The younger generation will always remember the sorrowful days of the Second World War.

On the day of the Great Victory, I congratulate everyone who stood up and won. I wish you never to hear shells burst and not to lose loved ones. Let it be history forever.
