Atlas of new professions was presented in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented the Atlas of new professions and competencies.

“With the help of the Atlas of New Professions, it is possible to predict the needs for various competencies in each of the considered sectors of the economy. This will have a positive impact on the accuracy of future strategic development programs. In addition, this will affect the understanding and interest of the population in improving their qualifications, involvement in teaching relevant skills or professions that will be in demand, ”said Sayasat Nurbek, one of the developers of the document.

To date, on the basis of the Atlas, a number of innovations in educational standards are already being introduced. For example, on the basis of the Khromtau Mining and Technical Higher College, training in the new profession "Operator of unmanned aerial vehicles for the mining industry and mining" has begun. Employees of the Donskoy Ore Mining and Processing Plant confirm the relevance of training specialists in this area.

In addition, the following specialties and qualifications have already been added to the classifier of Technical and Vocational Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

- specialty “Robotics and embedded systems (by industry)” and qualifications “Assembler-adjuster of robotic systems and complexes”, “Technician of mobile robotics”, “Technician of industrial robotics”;

- specialty "Technology of products based on nanomaterials" and qualification "Operator of production of products based on nanomaterials";

- specialty "Additive production technologies" and qualification "Operator of additive installations";

- specialty "Remotely piloted aircraft system" and qualifications "External pilot", "Mechanical technician for the technical operation of unmanned aircraft systems";

- specialty "Automated systems for the design and operation of buildings" and qualifications "BIM-user", "BIM-technician", "Maintenance technician of intelligent building management systems";

- specialty "Real estate management" and qualification "Manager of an apartment building";

- specialty "Destination management" and qualifications "Manager of ecological tourism", "Manager for the promotion of tourism services", "Manager of the tourist information center".

The development of the Atlas was carried out in pursuance of paragraph 39 of the Action Plan for the implementation of the pre-election program of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Well-being for all! Continuity. Justice. Progress ”and proposals received during the national action“ Birge ”. It was approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated June 19, 2019.

The Atlas development methodology is based on international experience and taking into account global trends in the development of economic sectors. It included conducting predictive sessions with subject immersion using the rapid foresight technology with the participation of industry experts represented by industry representatives, government agencies, industry associations, etc.

An analysis of the main technological trends that will critically change the labor market in 9 priority sectors of the economy is contained in the Atlas. There are mining and metallurgical complexes, oil and gas industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, mechanical engineering, ICT, energy, tourism and construction. In the document, changes in occupations for the next 5-10 years were predicted, and 239 new, 95 transforming and 129 disappearing occupations were identified.
