On the 26th of May, 2021 in Kiev the agreement of cooperation between the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev and the Kiev National Polytechnic Institute named after Sikorsky was signed

The agreement was reached during the meeting of the Rector of AUPET Saule Sagintayeva with the head of the Academic Council of KNPI, academician Mikhail Ilchenko. Counselor E.V. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine A. Tanbay, People's Deputy of Ukraine, member of the parliamentary group of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan S.V. Nagornyak took part in the event.

KNPI named after Igor Sikorsky is one of the largest educational institutions in Europe. About 25,000 undergraduates, students of Master’s and PhD programs study there. Cooperation within the framework of the signed Memorandum will be carried out in the following areas: exchange of scientific information and publications; participation in joint scientific events; organization of bilateral seminars, symposia, conferences and events on topics of mutual interest.

The parties plan to carry out joint preparation of educational programs, academic exchange of faculty and students, as well as joint implementation of scientific projects in the field of energy, telecommunications and space technologies.
