The Head of the Department \"Information Systems and Cybersecurity\" made a report at the scientific and practical conference \"The burden of diabetes in the Republic of Kazakhstan\"

06/11/2021 on the eve of World Diabetes Day in Almaty, a scientific and practical conference on the topic "The burden of diabetes in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held.

Scientists and specialists from various fields took part in the conference. There are Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, President of the Republican Medical Chamber, member of the WHO Executive Committee in 2000-2004 and 2015-2018 Kulzhanov M.K .; MD, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor, Director of the Health Institute of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi K. Davletov; Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Leading Researcher at the Center for Life Sciences "Nazarbayev University" Gulyaev A. E; candidate of medical sciences, chief freelance endocrinologist in Almaty, chief physician of the AAA Medical Clinic, president of the Kazakhstan Society for the Study of Diabetes (KSSD), member of the Asian Association for the Study of Diabetes (AASD) Akanov Zh.A .; Ph.D, head of the department "Information systems and cybersecurity" Mukasheva A.K.

Mukasheva A.K. made a report on the topic "Computer modeling and statistical forecasting methods for assessing the epidemiological situation of diabetes mellitus in the Republic of Kazakhstan."

Together with the Kazakhstan Society for the Study of Diabetes Mellitus (KSSD) and AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, within the framework of the project "Burden of Diabetes Mellitus for the Republic of Kazakhstan", all available official and scientific data on diabetes were studied. The problems of predicting the number of patients, extracting data from available medical datasets to visualize the epidemiological situation using IT technologies were discussed.

Within the framework of the project, university students under the leadership of A.K. Mukasheva have developed an ecosystem for statistical processing and visualization of medical data. The results of the approbation were reported at the conference.
