On June 17-18, in Turkestan, the Conference of Ministers of Education of the Central Asian countries is being held

On June 17-18, in the city of Turkestan, the Conference of Ministers of Education of the Central Asian countries "Central Asian Higher Education Area: Regional Cooperation, National Reforms" is being held. The venue was not chosen by chance. Turkestan is the historical and cultural center of Kazakhstan, located on the Great Silk Road. The city has a rich history and spiritual significance for the entire Turkic people.

The Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Center for the Bologna Process and Academic Mobility of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of Central Asian universities and international organizations took part in the conference.

Within the framework of the conference, reports on current topics in the field of education and science were presented, sessions were held. There, issues of further development were considered. As a result of the conference, such important documents as the Turkestan Declaration, the Memorandum on the establishment of the Central Asian Network for Quality Assurance in Education (TSASOKO), the Memorandum on the establishment of the Alliance of Universities of Central Asian Countries, as well as the Memorandum of Intent on cooperation in the implementation of student initiatives were adopted. This makes it possible for universities in the future to set a new vector for the development of joint educational programs of the countries of Central Asia. The goal is to improve the quality of teaching and international cooperation of universities at all three levels of higher education.

As a result of the conference, agreements on cooperation in the field of education and science with the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov were reached with the aim of fruitful interaction and joint development of universities.
