AUES IT CAMP has opened doors for schoolchildren in Almaty

On June 28, 2021, the grand opening of the AUES IT CAMP summer school was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. Here, schoolchildren of grades 7-9 will learn the basics of Cybersecurity and video editing, programming languages Python, C # and basic concepts in the field of IT.

At the event, which was held in strict observance of all sanitary and epidemiological standards, the Rector of the university, vice-rector, directors of institutes, teachers of the Department of Information Systems and Cybersecurity, students and their parents were present.

The Rector of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, Sagintayeva Saule Savetovna congratulated schoolchildren on the beginning of classes at AUES IT CAMP. “I am glad to congratulate you on this day. At the moment, it is impossible to imagine the future without the use of IT technologies. In the modern world, we use a variety of information security tools when working in the global network, a variety of applications written in programming languages, multimedia technologies everywhere. I think that the skills acquired in the summer school will help you in the future when choosing a profession. I am sure that in addition to knowledge, you will make new friends, have fun and have a good time. I hope that our acquaintance with you will not end there, and in the future we will meet with you more than once,” the Rector said.

The summer school faculty presented a brief overview of the classes that will take place over the next 10 days.

Students will study an introduction to programming in C # and Python, "Introduction to IT", "How does the Internet work?", "Working with video editing", "History of information security", "Rules and techniques of a young hacker".
