ABOUT THE DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATIONAL GRANTS IN THE 2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR: MASTER’S AND PhD PROGRAMS

More than 13 thousand grants have been allocated for admission to the master's program and more than 1800 grants have been allocated for admission to PhD programs in the 2021-2022 academic year. Educational grants were distributed in accordance with the data of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan and employers' information on personnel needs.

For master's degree studies, more grants are provided for pedagogical specialties - 3642. 3429 grants were allocated for engineering, manufacturing and construction industries, 1278 for natural sciences, mathematics and statistics, information and communication technologies - 1233, agriculture and biological resources - 527.

Registration of peope wishing to pass the comprehensive testing for admission to the Master’s programs started on June 18 and will last until July 15. The exams will begin on July 20.

“For the comfort of applicants, we have changed the system for filing an appeal in case of disagreement with the test results. It is held in electronic format. Now the applicant can immediately apply for an appeal, within 30 minutes after the completion of testing, "- said Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuanysh Yergaliyev.

For doctoral studies in the 2021-2022 academic year, 1,890 educational grants were allocated. Engineering, manufacturing and construction industries - 446, pedagogical sciences - 370, natural sciences, mathematics and statistics - 292, arts and humanities - 205.

Acceptance of applications for doctoral studies has already begun. For the first time, the entrance examination will be held in electronic format on the basis of testing centers.

“This format was introduced last year during the entrance examinations for the Master’s programs. It aims to ensure academic integrity and transparency in the examination procedure. This practice proved itself positively during the Unified National Testing as well, since each computer is equipped with a video camera. This allows you to monitor each applicant and thereby ensure the transparency of the exam passing procedure and the entire admission as a whole," said Vice Minister of Education and Science Kuanysh Yergaliyev.
