ACCEPTANCE OF DOCUMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION FOR THE AWARD OF EDUCATIONAL GRANTS WILL BEGIN ON JULY 16

Acceptance of documents for participation in the competition for the award of educational grants will begin on July 16. It will be done electronically.

In order to protect the health of applicants and their parents, virtual admissions offices will also work in universities. They will advise applicants via video communication.

Applicants can participate in the competition with one of two UNT results, which took place from May 6 to July 1.

When submitting an application, applicants must attach: electronic copies of the certificate, annexes to the certificate and a 3 × 4 digital photo in the form of an electronic document, as well as copies of other supporting documents.

If the applicant is the owner of "Altyn belgi" or is awarded a distinction for displayed patriotism and active civic position, then he has the preferential right in case of equality of points. Winners of Olympiads and sports competitions have a similar advantage. In order for such achievements to be taken into account, when submitting documents, it is necessary to attach copies of supporting documents. If there is an international certificate confirming proficiency in a foreign language, the applicant indicates the name of the international language certificate, score and attaches an electronic certificate.

This year, when distributing educational grants, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the first time allocated quotas for socially vulnerable groups of the population. Now children from large or single-parent families, as well as those applicants in whose families they bring up children with special needs, will have more chances to receive a grant.

Children from families with four or more minor children were allocated 5% of the total number of grants, children from incomplete families with this status for at least three years - 1%, children from families raising children with disabilities of I, II groups, 1 % of educational grants are provided.

Applicants who have scored at least 65 points on the basis of the UNT will be able to apply for grants at national universities. "Pedagogical sciences" - not less than 75 points, "Health care" - not less than 70 points, "Agriculture and biological resources", "Veterinary science" - not less than 60 points, and other universities - not less than 50 points. At the same time, for each subject of the UNT and (or) creative exam, it is necessary to score at least 5 points.
