ABAY’S WISDOM

As part of the celebration of "ABAY’S DAY", on the 10^th of August    a round table was held in online format. Its theme was “GYLIM TAPPAY MAKTANBA”. It was organized by the Department “Social Disciplines” of the Institute of Space Engineering and Telecommunications of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

Abai Kunanbayev was a Kazakh poet, composer, educator, thinker, public figure. He was the founder of Kazakh written literature and its first classic. He reformed cultures in a spirit of convergence with European culture on the basis of enlightened Islam.

The high moral ideals embodied in the works of the great classic became a beacon for all the peoples of the Great Steppe for many years. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev said that Abai was a defender of the interests of the state, a supporter of the idea of ​​the unity of the people. With his works, he made a great contribution to the development of the country. The great poet called for the unification of the nation and the creation of a just society. The proposed concept of the "hearing state" is a continuation of its attitudes. It can be argued that the great Abai stood at the origins of this idea.

The head of state in his article “Abai and Kazakhstan in the XXI century” noted: “In his works, the great poet elevated the unity of the people, outlined the importance of peacefulness. He put forward the idea of creating a just society. Abai's principles are harmonized with the principles of a civilized state: the rule of law, transparency of power, justice. " The ideology necessary for the country is embedded in the work of the great Kazakh thinker, the President of the country believes.

Sagintayeva Saule Savetovna, the Rector of the Non-profit JSC "Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev", Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the International Academy of Informatization addressed the event participants with a welcoming speech. The Rector S.S. Sagintayeva said that Abai Kunanbayev was a scientist, thinker, teacher, educator and was the pride of our nation. The rich literary heritage of Abai, an outstanding figure of Kazakh poetry, is the spiritual heritage of not only one people, but also of all mankind. Abai was a steppe philosopher. The duty of today's generation is to consolidate in the minds of future generations the great heritage of Abai, who became a guide in the Renaissance and renewal of human thought.

In their reports, the speakers of the round table talked about the great power of the words of Abai Kunanbayev, the spirituality of his creations, the great words of edification, the international relevance of his work. According to the unanimous opinion of the round table participants, the works of the great Abai have not lost their relevance in the process of social and spiritual modernization of the country. Today, his works are designed to strengthen public harmony in Kazakhstan. Abai's teachings play one of the main roles in the spiritual life of the Kazakh people. The wisdom of the Kazakh thinker is still relevant today. The legacy of the great Abai is of great importance in matters of tolerance and philosophy of peace. Discussion of the creative and life path of the great Abai is a study of the history of an entire country, in the formation of which the poet and thinker played an important role. It is in this regard that the participants of the round table characterized the Day of Abai, announced by the Head of State, as a great holiday. Today, every Kazakhstani should know the work of Abai Kunanbayev, whose works and research are relevant to this day. His contribution to the spiritual heritage and wealth of our country has no boundaries.
