Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry has visited AUPET

On August 27, 2021, Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry Musin Bagdat Batyrbekovich visited the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

The goal was to get acquainted with the work of the Industry 4.0 Competence Center, to hear a report on the results of the Smart Power Grid Scientific and Technical Center (technological modernization and innovative development of the energy industry) and to consider AUPET proposals for collaboration with the Techgarden Industrial Development Center. The Rector of the University - Professor Sagintaeva Saule Savetovna made a welcoming speech.

For distinguished guests, a short excursion was held in a number of high-tech laboratories in the Competence Center “Industry 4.0”. The Director of the Institute of Telecommunications and Space Engineering Alipbaev Kuanysh Aringozhaevich and the head of the Department “Automation and Control” Igor Anatolyevich Fedorenko spoke about the work of the Center.

In each laboratory, the minister asked clarifying questions, shared his vision and gave direct instructions to his team.

In the main part of the meeting, the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Saukhimov Almaz Abzhalievich made a presentation on the results of the activities of the Scientific and Technical Center "Smart power grid" and its future plans.

 Further, the General Director of the Autonomous Cluster Fund "Park of Innovative Technologies" Sembin Askar Bolatovich made a presentation. The topic of the report was “Conclusion of memorandums and cooperation with leading universities and IT companies, on the development of competencies in the field of Industry 4.0 and the SIMP technology platform”. Sembin Askar Bolatovich spoke about the main directions of interaction and the development of effective cooperation in the formation of the Roadmap:

- training and advanced training of personnel of industrial enterprises of the energy industry for the implementation of Industry 4.0 projects;

- implementation of projects at 1% for Research and development work as part of the obligations of subsoil users to develop innovative solutions;

- development and joint implementation of pilot corporate innovation projects for the implementation of Industry 4.0 elements in the electric power industry and / or related industries.

Following the meeting, Musin B.B. supported the proposals of AUPET on the development of a SCADA system of Kazakhstani production, and the determination of the status and capabilities of the Centers for industrial technological competencies, in particular, the formation of an image of the future and guidelines for the conceptual development of the industry.
