AUPET - eco friendly

Attentive attitude to the environment, environmental responsibility is a global trend. Today it is becoming an integral part of the life of modern society.

There is a new addition to the family of our eco-projects. On September 6, the “smart gazebo” began its work. This was created as part of the "Smart space" startup project.

The Smart space project is a unique outdoor space. This will provide the most comfortable conditions for the work of students and teachers outside the university. The main idea of the startup, which was sponsored by our students, is to modernize the gazebo on the territory of the university with solar panels.

The gazebo is equipped with a special all-weather cabinet that provides the required temperature regime for the battery inverter station.
Iskakova Asiya and Karimgali Alisher are the authors of this project and winners of the scientific projects competition funded by Chevron and "Nazarbayev University's National Conservation Initiative" under the NU Sustainability Living Lab: Outreach program. They will receive certificates from NU Sustainability Living Lab: Outreach”, which will provide them with additional points when participating in other competitions from SLL.
