AUPET students took the third place in the competition, which was held by the \"Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology\"!

Students of the specialty "Automation and Control" of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev took the third prize in the republican intellectual competition. The "Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology" of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration held this competition.

On the eve of the celebration of the World Standards Day, the “Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology” of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration held an intellectual competition “What? Where? When?” on October 11. The theme was "Living by Standard". Third and fourth year students from various universities in Kazakhstan competed for prizes.

The competition of “Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology” was for students of the specialty “Standardization, Metrology and Certification”. This competition was held for students who are studying for the third or fourth year in a profession related to metrology, standardization and certification. Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev does not provide training in this specialty. Therefore, AUPET was represented by students of the educational program "Automation and Control". In this specialty, only one subject was directly related to the subject of the competition - “Metrology, standardization, certification and quality management”. However, the general level of knowledge of AUPET students in the specialty "Automation and Control" turned out to be so high that it allowed them to take the third place!

The Department “Automation and Control” of AUPET trained four teams, each of which has 5 participants. Senior lecturer of the Department “Automation and Control”, Master Zhanna Serikbaevna Tleubaeva was their mentor.

The organizers of the competition did not expect such activity from AUPET and allowed only 2 teams to participate. The rest of the universities were able to submit only one team at a time. A total of 10 teams from 9 universities of the country took part in the intellectual competition "Living by Standard."There are:

- Eurasian National University named after L. Gumilyov;

- Almaty Technological University;

- West Kazakhstan Agrarian Technical University named after Zhangir Khan;

- North Kazakhstan State University named after M. Kozybayev;

- Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after G. Daukeev;

- Taraz Regional University named after M.Kh. Dulati;

- D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University;

- Karaganda University of Kazpotrebsoyuz;

- Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after S. Seifullin.

Having withstood the competition with honor, the AUPET team took the third place. The next third year students were in the AUPET team:

 -Telmanova Zarina AaCSk-19-3;

- Islamkulyev Kurmangazy AaCSk-19-4;

- Sarsek Rakhat AaCSk-19-3;

- Nurgali ErmukhanAaCS k-19-2;

- Karasaeva Aruzhan AaCS-19-4.

AUPET team scored 320 points. Only 20 points separated her from the second place! Our students study the specialty "Automation and Control", and not "Metrology, standardization and certification", which the focus of the competition "Living by Standard" was.

However, knowing the professionalism and dedication of the senior lecturer of the Department “Automation and Control” Zh. S. Tleubaeva, there is no doubt that after so much successful debut, her students next year will strive only for victory!
