Digital technologies and social sciences
At the AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev, an online meeting (lecture) dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been held. The lecture was delivered by Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the University Mimar Sinan (Turkey), Director of the EURASCA Research Center Abdiyagap Kara. The theme of the lecture was: "Digital technology and social sciences"
The professor began his meeting with a conversation about a new information reality, which makes serious demands on the work of our brain. He shared with the audience his thoughts: the whole world is “to hunt for brains”. Modernity is such that we are immersed in the world of new technologies. We have become hostages of smartphones. We have ceased to hold a pen in our hands, computers write for us, computers read books to us. Of course, there are pros and cons to considering this issue.
The following themes were discussed at the meeting: what interests a foreign scientist, how he sees the future development of social sciences. Many questions about the research work of the scientist on the study of Kazakh history at the beginning of the twentieth century were asked.
