On November 1, 2021, the acceptance of documents for the second comprehensive testing for admission to the Master’s programs will begin
Earlier the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov on his pages in social networks announced the decision taken in favor of Kazakhstanis who want to re-try their hand at entering the Master’s and PhD programs.
Now, within the framework of this decision, the acceptance will be held twice a year. The competition is open to both applicants who could not apply for a grant in the summer, and those who have not previously passed comprehensive testing.
“When making such decisions, the ministry always puts the interests of students at the forefront. Earlier, the Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov said that applicants for a state grant can be tested twice a year: traditionally in summer and additionally in winter. Now, from November 1, they can submit documents for the second comprehensive testing for admission to the Master’s programs. In case of successful passing of the tests, applicants can win grants that were not awarded at the end of the summer admission, "said Vice Minister of Education and Science Kuanysh Yergaliyev.

Registration for participation in the second comprehensive testing will take place on the website of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan app.testcenter.kz (http://app.testcenter.kz/). Acceptance of documents will be held from 1 to 15 November 2021. The complex testing itself will take place from November 18 to December 11, 2021.
Applicants for a master's grant will traditionally take tests in a foreign language, according to the profile of a group of educational programs and to determine readiness to study. Applicants who have an international certificate of proficiency in a foreign language are automatically exempted from the foreign language test. Test results will be available immediately after testing is complete. In case of disagreement with the test results, its participants can apply for an online appeal 30 minutes after the end of the entrance exams.
The passing score for admission to a scientific and pedagogical Master’s programs on a state educational order and on a paid basis is 75 points, in a specialized Master’s programs - 50 points.
Documents for participation in the competition for the award of educational grants to the Master's degree will be accepted until December 25, 2021. Enrollment in the Master's program will take place from December 26 to January 10, 2021.
Those applying for a master's degree can apply for more than three thousand state educational grants.
Most of the grants were allocated for the specialties "Chemistry" (172 grants), "Veterinary science" (169), "Mechanics and metalworking" (156), "Metallurgical engineering" (137), "Production of building materials, products and structures" (132 ), "Materials science and technology of new materials" (130) and others.
