WE CONGRATULATE ULZHAMIL BIBATYROVNA SERIKBAYEVA ON 75th ANNIVERSARY!

On October 29, Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Language Knowledge of the Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Gumarbek Daukeev Serikbayeva Ulzhamilya Bibatyrovna celebrates her 75th anniversary.

In 1968, Serikbayeva Ulzhamilya Bibatyrovna graduated from the Almaty Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages and was awarded the qualification "teacher of the English language".

Ulzhamilya Bibatyrovna began her pedagogical activity at the University of National Economy in 1975 and for many years she worked at the Department of Foreign Languages.

In 2003 she defended her thesis on the topic: "Ethnolinguistic characteristics of the color designations" white "and" black "in the Kazakh language.

In 2007, by the decision of the Committee for Supervision and Attestation in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the academic title of "Associate Professor" was awarded to Ulzhamila Bibatyrovna.

From 2009 to the present, she has been successfully working in the NAO AUPET as an assistant professor at the Department for Language Studies.

Ulzhamilya Bibatyrovna has over 70 scientific publications, including the monograph “Ethnolinguistic study of color designations in proverbs and sayings in the Kazakh language”, the English-Russian-Kazakh explanatory dictionary of exchange terms. Her scientific articles are devoted to the problems of technical translation and methods of teaching foreign languages in a technical university. Ulzhamilya Bibatyrovna makes reports at domestic and foreign international conferences (Vienna, Madrid, Berlin, Brussels).

Ulzhamilya Bibatyrovna is the compiler of textbooks, methodological instructions included in the main list of the map of methodological provision of disciplines "Foreign language", "Professionally oriented foreign language".

Ulzhamilya Bibatyrovna takes an active part in the educational activities of the university ("Day of the Department for Language Studies ", "Day of the Unity of the People of Kazakhstan"). She organizes trips to theaters, museums.

Serikbaeva U.B. is respected by students and colleagues. She is an example for young teachers, she heads the Council of Mentors.

Labor activity of Serikbayeva U.B. was highly appreciated by the leadership of the university. In 2020, she was awarded a letter of thanks from the Rector of NAO AUPET for her loyalty to the university for many years, for high performance in work, energetic and selfless work to strengthen the image and high reputation of the university.
