The best of the best!

On September 17, 2021, the Akimat of Almaty region announced a competition "Bar bakytym - Kasietti Otanym'' in honor of the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the Day of Languages of the Peoples of Kazakhstan. The main goals and objectives of the competition: strengthening the sense of patriotism, developing the creative potential, linguistic capital of student youth. 18 universities of Almaty received invitations to participate in the competition, including the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

Faculty of the department for Language Studies gladly responded to the appeal of the akimat. Participation in events of this kind allows teachers to purposefully identify the potential abilities of gifted students and provide them with timely pedagogical support.

In the process of preparing for the competition, the teachers of our department held consultations for students. During the consultation, they discussed the subject of the essay, the conditions of the competition and the list of required documents. Having selected the best essays, we checked them in good faith, and only after that we allowed students to send their work to the specified address.

We are glad to share with you the wonderful news that our students have adequately represented AUPET at the competition "Bar bakytym - Kasietti Otanym". The jury was made up of highly qualified specialists. Prize places were awarded to our students by the decision of a competent and objective jury of the Department for the Development of Languages of the Almaty Region.

A student of group HPSSAIFk-21-1 Davranov Abbas took 3rd place and received a cash prize of 50,000 tenge. Aitmukhanova Akmaral, a student of the KSK-21-1 group, took 2nd place. A cash bonus of 60,000 tenge was also awarded to her (the head is Associate Professor Sanyarova NS). And, finally, the main intrigue of the competition was resolved, which we have witnessed and which we report with undisguised pride. The winner of the Grand Prix was a student of our university of the EEk19-1 group Karashina Tomiris! (the head is Associate Professor Sharipzhanova G.G.). Tomiris will also receive a cash prize of 80,000 tenge. This joyful and bright moment inspired both students and teachers, everyone was happy and proud of the victory.

We thank the Department for the Development of Languages of the Almaty Region for organizing the competition and for the impartial assessment of the works of AUPET students.

We congratulate our students on a well-deserved victory! We wish them not to stop there, always move forward, conquer any peaks!

The department for Language Studies
