The student marathon was held in AUPET online. The topic was: "Actual problems of youth and ways to solve them." The marathon was organized by the teachers of the Department of Social Disciplines and the Rukhani Zhangyru office. More than 110 first-year students of the Institute of Electric Power and Electrical Engineering took part in the event. This testifies to the relevance and significance of the meeting.

Associate Professor of the Department “Social Disciplines” Sharakpayeva G.D. greeted the participants of the meeting. In her speech, she stressed that youth is not only the future, it is a “living present”. It is very important to understand to what extent the young generation today determines the content and character of the future, to what extent it carries the “spirit of the new time”. Youth is the future of our state, the future of our nation. The modern world is extremely active and rapidly changing. Change occurs primarily in young people. The actual problems of young people reflect the imperfections and vices of the whole society. Therefore, the solution of these difficulties will have an impact on the well-being of the entire society.

At the event, various presentations were demonstrated, interesting opinions and conclusions were expressed. The speakers emphasized that the youth of our time is a well-educated generation of a new formation, possessing good health, energetic, observing a healthy lifestyle, fluent in Kazakh, Russian and English, tolerant, absorbing the values ​​and culture of the Kazakh people. Modern young people are seen as independent, realistically assessing their capabilities, responsible for their own destiny. The main life values ​​of young people are family, friends, health, kindness, love, justice, followed by material well-being, interesting work, career growth.

Young people should understand that only through their own hard work, the acquisition of high-quality education and its application in practice, thrift, active involvement in business and the development of production can achieve personal success and common prosperity. According to the professor of the department of social disciplines Mukhambedyarova A.T., the state youth policy is considered as one of the important directions in the development of modern society. It is carried out in order to create socio-economic, legal, organizational conditions and guarantees for the spiritual, cultural, educational, professional formation and physical development of young people, disclosing their creative potential in the interests of the whole society. The tasks of the state youth policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan are: protection of the rights and legitimate interests of youth; provision of assistance and social services to youth; implementation of socially significant youth initiatives. According to the unanimous opinion of all participants in the marathon, youth is one of the socially active strata of the population that has an important potential weight in the future.

Young people are the most energetic, educated, physically and professionally prepared, mobile, more adapted to the changed socio-economic conditions of our time. According to professor Orynbekova D.S., it is the energy and initiative of young people, their aspiration for the future that will in many ways become the key to the success of our initiatives. The younger generation is open to new ideas, thinks globally, thinks in terms of the future. In the global world, these qualities of young people are more in demand than ever.

In recent years, a tendency towards a noticeable increase in the activity of students in connection with the growing need of young people to participate in the social and political life of the country has been outlined. Kazakhstani youth is characterized today by the growth of spiritual, moral, multicultural and patriotic potential.

The mission of educational work at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev is to increase attention to the problems of educating the younger generation; organization of students' activities aimed at changing oneself; increasing the importance of upbringing, education, professionalism, asserting and educating universal human values: patriotism, humanism, citizenship, industriousness, internationalism, improving the physical development and health of students; formation of legal culture; development of social activity, civic maturity, patriotic and international education of future specialists. The main goal of educational work at the university is the formation of a highly moral, spiritually developed and physically healthy student personality, the development of creative abilities, as well as preparation for active participation in the public life of the university, city, region and the Republic.
