WE CONGRATULATE KHOSHIN GAMIL KHOZHAEVICH ON THE 85th ANNIVERSARY!

November 8 Khozhin Hamil Khozhaevich turns 85 years. He is a candidate of technical sciences, professor of the Department “Electric Power Systems” of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.

Khozhin Hamil Khozhaevich was born on November 8, 1936 in the village of Mashteksay, Dzhangalinsky district, West Kazakhstan region. In 1954 he graduated from Martuk Kazakh secondary school. From November 1955 to August 1957, Hamil Khozhaevich studied at the Fergana (Uzbek SSR) technical school No. 1. He graduated from college with honors in the specialty "Electromechanic of rural electrification and radioification". In 1957 Khozhin Hamil Khozhaevich was sent to the Dzhangalinsky district communal services and was hired as an electrician of power plants. In 1958, Hamil Khozhaevich entered the All-Union Correspondence Polytechnic Institute (Moscow) at the Faculty of Electric Power. Khozhin successfully graduated in May 1964 with a degree in Power Plants, Networks and Systems.

From October 1958 to November 1959 G.Kh. Khozhin worked as an electrician of the Department of Сustoms Сontrol No. 1 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kazakh SSR in Almaty.

Since November 1959 Khozhin G.Kh. was accepted as an electrician at the Kazakh Mining and Metallurgical Institute (then the Kazakh Poly Technical Institute, now the Kazakh National Research Technical University) and is currently working in the higher education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 1964 to 1966 Hamil Khozhaevich worked as an assistant at the Department “Power Supply for Industrial Enterprises and Cities”. In 1966 he entered the full-time postgraduate study, and in 1970 he defended his Ph.D. thesis.

1970-1971 Hamil Khozhaevich worked as a chief engineer of a plasma laboratory at the Department “Electrical Supply for Industrial Enterprises”, and then as a senior researcher at the same laboratory. In December 1971, he was transferred, and then was elected by competition to the position of senior lecturer at the Department of Electrical Networks and Systems.

 Since November 1973, Hamil Khozhaevich has been elected by competition to the post of head of the Department of Power Plants and Substations of the Energy Faculty of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after V.I. Lenin.

On October 22, 1975 G.Kh. Khozhin was awarded the title "Associate Professor" of the Department of "Power Plants and Substations", specializing in "Power Plants".

1975 to 1978 Khozhin Hamil Khozhaevich was the Dean of the Faculty of Evening and Distance Learning at the AEI. 1984 to 1993 he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Equipment and Power Plants.

From 1993 to February 1994 worked as a chief specialist of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From February 1994 to May 1999 he worked as a professor at the Department of Electrical Equipment and Power Stations.

From May 1999 to September 2003 G.Kh. Khozhin worked as the head of the department "Power stations, networks and systems" of the Almaty Institute of Power Engineering and Telecommunications (AIPET).

Khozhin G.Kh. lectures on disciplines: "Electric Power Plants and Substations", "Electrical Part of Power Plants", "Control and Calculation of Power Systems Modes on a Computer", "Electrical Apparatuses", "Special Issues of Power Systems", "Switchgears of Stations and Substations" for students specializing in energy directions. He conducts laboratory and practical classes, supervises coursework, graduation design and industrial practice for students. Hamil Khozhaevich does a lot of methodological work on the compilation and publication of textbooks in the Kazakh language, teaching aids, guidelines, programs and conducting educational, industrial and pre-diploma practice in the department. In 2009, he published a Russian-Kazakh dictionary for the specialty "Power Engineering".

Khozhin G.Kh. has four inventor's certificates and more than 300 published scientific and methodological works. Including 4 textbooks approved by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 27 textbooks, 25 guidelines and 51 scientific articles in the Kazakh language. Also, he has two medals (silver and bronze) of the Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR for successes in the development of the national economy of the USSR.

In June 1973 Khozhin G.Kh. was sent on an overseas business trip to the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic to give lectures and exchange experience in research work by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education. He successfully coped with the task and, as a result of the trip, published two scientific articles. In addition, Khozhin G.Kh. used the materials of the trip in the educational process.

Khozhin Hamil Khozhaevich performs a great public work. 1950-1964 he was a member of the All-Union Leninist Communist Youth Union. Khozhin G.Kh was repeatedly elected a member, secretary of the Komsomol bureau of the organization, where he studied and worked. From February 1966 to February 1992 he was a member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. He had no party penalties. Khozhin G.Kh. was repeatedly elected a member of the AEI party committee, a member of the institute's people's control group, a member of the party bureau of a problem laboratory, chairman of the Council for work with first-year students, deputy dean of the energy faculty of the Kazakh Poly Technical Institute named after V.I. Lenin, a member of the Academic Council of the institute, secretary of the workshop party bureau of the electromechanical Faculty, the chairman of the local committee of the AEI, the chairman of the head group of people's control of the AEI.

More than 10 years Khozhin G.Kh. was a member of the Academic Council of the AEI, the Scientific Secretary of the UMO AEI for energy and telecommunications. He was the chairman of the Commission of the Educational Methodological Association for the specialties "Electric Power Plants", "Electric Power Systems and Networks" and "Electrical Insulation, Cable and Condenser Engineering". He was the chairman of the expert group on the profile of education - Electricity and the Educational Methodological Commission on methodological support and expertise, also the executive secretary of the AEI selection committee in 1975, 1976, 1977 and 1995.

Khozhin G.Kh. He was a member of the Council of the Electro-Energy Faculty, Chairman of the expert group on the profile of education in the electric power industry, Chairman of the Educational Methodological Commission for methodological support and expertise of the Educational Methodological Commission of the AIPET.

For a conscientious attitude to work and activity in social activities, G.Kh. gratitude from the administration of the institute and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan were repeatedly announced.

For success in work Khozhin G.Kh. was awarded with the Signs "Winner of the Socialist Competition" 1975, 1976 and 1977, nominated on the Board of Honor of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Kazakh SSR. By the decision of the Collegium of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Kazakh SSR and the Presidium of the Kazakh Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Workers of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Institutions for the successes achieved in educational work and in connection with the 60th anniversary of the Kazakh SSR and the Communist Party of Kazakhstan G.Kh. was awarded the Honorary Diploma.

In 1987 Khozhin G.Kh. was awarded the AEI Honorary Diploma for high performance in educational research and methodological work, for active participation in public life and in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.

In 1990 Khozhin G.Kh. was awarded the medal "Veteran of Labor", and in 1996. He was awarded the badge "Excellence in Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Certificate of Honor (2002) by the Ministry of Energy, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan for his great contribution to the development of electricity education in the Republic of Kazakhstan. By the decision of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Khozhin Hamil became the Laureate of the bronze (2005), silver (2012) and gold (2015) medals named after A. Baitursynov for his fruitful work in writing new generation textbooks that meet modern educational standards.

In 2006, Khozhin G.Kh. awarded the badge "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" and the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

In November 2006, by the decision of the Board of Directors of the Kazakhstan Electricity Association, Khozhin Hamil Khozhaevich was awarded the title "Honored Power Engineer of the Republic of Kazakhstan" for services in the training of highly qualified power engineers for the period 1964 to the present time and "Honored Power Engineer of the CIS" for services in development electric power industry of the CIS member states.

Khozhin G.Kh. is the owner of the award "Ardageri Electric Power Engineering Kauymdastylygy" (certificate No. 1858 of November 10, 2016)

In June 2009 Khozhin G.Kh. was elected a corresponding member, and in October 2011 an academician of the International Academy of Sciences of Ecology, Human Safety and Nature.

Professor Khozhin G.Kh. was a member of the labor front (1944-1945 pension certificate dated 09/14/15). By the decision of the Board of Directors “KEA” dated December 17, 2020, Hamil Khozhaevich Khozhin was awarded the medal "100 years to the plan of the State Commission for the Electrification of Russia",
