The VIII meeting of the Working Commission for the coordination of the Scientific and Educational Consortium between higher educational institutions and research institutes of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus was held online

Today, on November 16, 2021, the VIII meeting of the Working Commission for the coordination of the Scientific and Educational Consortium between higher educational institutions and research institutes of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus was held online.

At the meeting, representatives of twenty-seven universities and research institutes of both countries, members of the Consortium were present. Also, representatives of state bodies: the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus, Utyupin P.V. - Extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Belarus to Kazakhstan and A.A. Beisembayev -Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Belarus.

A comprehensive report on the results of the implementation of the action plan for interaction between institutions and academic circles of partner universities over the past 2 years was presented. The main trends in the development of higher education and its integration into the Eurasian educational space, points of contact and fusion of science, education and production were discussed.

In the afternoon of the meeting of the working commission of the Consortium, the Plan for further measures for the implementation of scientific and educational cooperation for 2021-2022 was presented. New members were accepted into the association. At the end of the meeting, the Rectors and the first heads of the Belarusian and Kazakh universities signed an agreement on the extension of the Memorandum of Cooperation. The Rector of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev Sagintaeva Saule Savetovna and the Rector of the Belarusian National Technical University Sergey Kharitonchik signed an agreement on academic cooperation between AUPET and BNTU.
