AUPET students are winners of the international educational program of Huawei \"Seeds for the future 2021\"

On December 7, 2021, the Rector of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev Sagintayeva Saule Savetovna congratulated the students on winning the competition of the Huawei program "Seeds for the Future 2021".

“I congratulate the students! 100 students from 14 universities of the Republic took part in the competition. 28 students from AUPET took part and all 28 passed all stages of selection. 15 students entered the II stage, including 13 students of AUPET. They all became winners,” - said the Rector. “Please accept my warm congratulations on this wonderful victory!”

Vice-rector for academic activities Sergei Konshin and vice-rector for social and educational work Serik Makhmutov took part in the award ceremony. They thanked the coaches-curators of the Huawei ICT Academy at AUPET for the success of the students, namely: the senior lecturer of the department “IT-engineering” Viktor Aleksandrovich Tailakov and the assistant professor of the department “IT-engineering” Tatyana Viktorovna Golubeva.

In addition, the representatives of “Huawei” has awarded the Rector and vice-rector for academic activities of AUPET named after the G. Daukeev with special prizes for the victory of university students.

The program of Huawei "Seeds for the future 2021" aims to inspire local talent, enhance knowledge sharing, foster better understanding and interest in the ICT sector, and encourage participation in the digital community. It also encourages countries from different regions to participate in building digital communities. In Kazakhstan, the program of Huawei "Seeds for the future 2021" has been implemented since 2018 to help ICT professionals fill the gaps between theory and practice and acquire the necessary skills.
