Young robotics engineers from AUPET named after G. Daukeev have taken part in ETU Robocon

On December 2, 2021 the students of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after G. Daukeyev took part in the II Republican Championship in robotics among universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan "ETU Robocon". The event was accustomed to the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence and was implemented as part of the development of the Digital Kazakhstan and Rukhani Zhagyru programs. The organizer was the Eurasian Technological University with the sponsorship of the Nursultan Nazarbayev Foundation.

At the Almaty Arena ice palace, AUPET students presented two robots based on the Arduino platform - automated and controlled. The task of the first robot was to send a "rocket" to an improvised planet, and the second robot had to move along a certain trajectory and load balls into a special hole. The Arduino platform makes it possible to create a robot from scratch, from design to writing a robot intelligence program. This allows students to master robotics, electronics, and process automation faster.

The goal of the Republican Championship in Robotics among the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan "ETU Robocon" is to obtain modern technical knowledge of Kazakhstani youth for the further implementation of their start-up projects and active participation in the innovative development of Kazakhstan. In 2019, the team of AUPET named after I. G. Daukeyev took the 4th place.
