Applicants from AUPET named after G. Daukeyev for the award \"The Best Scientist\" have been determined

On December 7, 2021, an extraordinary meeting of the Academic Council was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. The candidates for the annual award "The Best Scientist" were discussed there. The speaker was the scientific secretary Begimbetova Ainur Serikbaevna.

The competition is held by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with Article 15 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Science". The purpose of the competition is to encourage scientists, researchers of scientific organizations and organizations of higher and (or) postgraduate education who have contributed to the development of science and technology. 13 submissions were submitted for consideration: Institute of Heat Power Engineering and Control Systems - 4 candidates, Institute of Electrical Engineering and Power Engineering - 4 candidates, Institute of Information Technologies - 3 candidates, Institute of Telecommunications and Space Engineering - 2 candidates.

The scientific achievements of the applicant for the Prize will be evaluated according to the following indicators:

1) the presence of an academic degree;

2) availability of an academic title awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

3) management of scientific projects and programs;

4) the availability of scientific results (articles or reviews, domestic and foreign monographs, a chapter in a monograph, patents, implementations, etc.);

5) teaching at least one discipline or several disciplines at the university in the last year;

6) training of personnel who have been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor in the field for the last 3 years;

7) confirmed results of scientific and scientific and technical activities for implementation in production;

8) participation in the work of advisory bodies on the development of science and the implementation of state policy in the field of scientific and scientific and technical activities, confirmed by the relevant legal documents (commissions, working groups, expert groups, project offices).
