Excursion to the Space Communication Center \"Kokterek\"

On December 10, 2021, students of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after G. Daukeyev visited the Space Communications Center “Kokterek” with an excursion. Kuanysh Alipbaev and the head of the Career Center Zere Urzhanova organized this trip and accompanied the students. The head of "Kokterek" Roman Ermashov was the guide. He told them about the importance of the complex for the information security of Kazakhstan, showed the infrastructure and high-tech equipment for communication with space satellites.

Students became interested in employment opportunities at the Center. Roman Ermashov, setting himself up as an example, advised them to start from the very bottom of the career ladder. So that later students can grow to be professionals and a leader. After the completion of all the events, representatives of AUPET named after G. Daukeyev thanked the leadership of the Space Communication Center “Kokterek” for their help in organizing this important excursion for the students. They saw how the ground control complex for spacecraft of the KazSat series works.
