Happy Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan!

Dear students of Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD programs; employees, colleagues and friends!

I congratulate you all on the holiday - the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan! Today we are honoring our native country, which we love and are proud of. We know how to value the past, our history, the inextricable centuries-old bond between generations, the best traditions and the richest heritage of our culture. Our people have come a long way of gaining independence. Today Kazakhstan is a state recognized by the entire international community. Our model of interethnic and interreligious harmony is a standard for many countries. Our country is a rule-of-law state with a clear division of the branches of power, which proves the maturity and development of our entire democratic system.

Our President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev launched moderate and gradual reforms. Thanks to this, the latest challenges of our time have been successfully overcome. It is worth noting that the President, in his message of September 1, 2021, paid attention to quality education: “Early vocational guidance of children is of particular importance. The younger generation should be conscious of the choice of a future profession. The government, together with the Atameken National Chamber, needs to tackle this important task. We will continue to implement the project "Free technical and vocational education" ... In general, Kazakhstani education and science is facing a large-scale, urgent task - not just to keep up with new trends, but to be one step ahead, generate trends. "

Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev has become one of the leaders of the higher education system in Kazakhstan since its foundation. Our university works closely with the National Chamber of Atameken to help the younger generation consciously choose their future profession. AUPET can rightfully be called one of the leading ones in the process of integrating science and education into the modern economy.
