WE CONGRATULATE MUSTAFIN MARAT ASKAROVICH ON 70th ANNIVERSARY!
On December 31 Mustafin Marat Askarovich turns 70 years. He is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of "Electrical Machines and Electric Drive" of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.
Marat Askarovich was born on December 31, 1951 in Alma-Ata. In 1975 he graduated from the Almaty Power Engineering Institute (APEI) with a degree in “Power Supply to Industrial Enterprises and Cities”. His basic qualification is Electrical Engineer.
Marat Askarovich has been working at Almaty Institute of Power Engineering (now Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev) since 1975. He started his career as a research trainee, then he worked as a research assistant. Marat Askarovich began his teaching career as an assistant and after working as a senior lecturer, associate professor. Than he became a professor of the department. Marat Askarovich worked as Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Electric Power, also head of the Department “Electric Drive and Automation of Industrial Installations”.
From 2007 to 2016, Marat Askarovich was a member of the Administration - Head of the Educational and Methodological Department of AUPET.
Marat Askarovich is one of the developers of the first state compulsory standards and standard curricula for bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies in the specialty "Power Engineering". He is the author of a number of guidance and books. With his participation and under his leadership, hundreds of electrical engineers have been trained. The sphere of scientific interests of Mustafin M.A. is energy saving in industry by means of an automated electric drive.
Marat Askarovich completed his postgraduate studies at the AEI in 1987 at the Gorky Polytechnic Institute, then defended his Ph.D. thesis "Electric drive of rotary kilns with a double feed machine." In 2003, Mustafin M.A. awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the specialty "Electrical Engineering".
In 2007, Marat Askarovich defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the specialty “Electrical Systems and Complexes”. Under his leadership, 2 candidates of technical sciences and 9 masters of science were trained. His students of Bachelor's programs became laureates of the scientific research works competitions of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2018, 2020).
Mustafin M.A. is an academician of the International Academy of Informatization (2020), a member of the AUPET dissertation council on Electric Power.
His results of research and development in the field of modern automated electric drive systems and energy-saving modes of electrical and energy complexes are presented in scientific monographs, articles, educational and methodological works. They have been successfully implemented at numerous industrial facilities in Kazakhstan.
Marat Askarovich was awarded many certificates of honor, badges "Honorary Power Engineer" (2011) and "Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan" (2011), the jubilee medal "100 years of the State Commission on the Electrification of Russia" (2020).
