AUPET student Asel Zhoikynbekova: No, I don`t play video games

AUPET student Asel Zhoikynbekova is a student of Master's program. She dreams of making the world green and safe. We asked her 21 questions to find out from her what helps her to be so active and successful.

- What helps you to cheer up in the morning?

- Morning exercises and music are good at helping me to cheer up, and give me strength for the whole day.

- What is your motto?

- Nothing is impossible!

- What is your main achievement in life?

- At the moment, this is a transfer from paid education to a grant. I will never forget my sleepless nights, my perseverance and work to achieve this goal, which resulted in a red diploma, which I am very proud of.

- Who is your favorite lecturer at AUPET?

- I respect every lecturer that I have had for all 4 years. I am immensely grateful to them for the knowledge and wisdom provided.

- What is your mission in life?

- My mission is to be happy, healthy, wise, loving and helpful.

- What's your craziest idea?

- Such ideas did not come to me or I just don’t remember.

- Who is your favorite hero, character, idol?

- My favorite character is Feride from the novel by Rishad Nuri Gyuntekin "Kinglet - a songbird". She is a strong personality, despite her frivolity and capricious nature. This girl, ready to overcome all obstacles on the way, with a smile on her face. She quickly learns everything so as not to be dependent on anyone. Despite everything, she did not break, but became stronger and stronger. She achieved everything herself and boldly walked towards the goal. This heroine is very much in common with me, which charmed my heart.

- What super ability do you dream of?

- Unfortunately, there are diseases in the world for which modern medicine has not yet found the correct treatment approach. And that is why I dream of the ability to heal. To be able to heal with one touch not only relatives and friends, but also those around.

- What is the main moment in your life?

- I think that my main moment in life is still ahead.

- Do you have a ritual that brings good luck before the exam?

- Not.

- Which is better: Faith or Science?

- In this case, one does not interfere with the other. Personally, I do not share these concepts. Faith and science complement each other, since each satisfies the most important human needs, combining two principles: spiritual and natural.

- What is the most spontaneous act in your life?

- I have a rather "boring" life in this regard.

- What is your favorite accessory?

- I really love rings.

- What do you prefer: coffee or tea?

- Water is healthier.

- Where is your favorite place in the city?

- My favorite place is the Park of the First President, also the Botanical Garden. There you can take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, enjoy the beauty of nature, and be alone with yourself.

- What kind of music is in your headphones?

- There is absolutely different music in my headphones. From pop music to classic rock. It all depends on my mood.

- Do you play video games?

- No, I don't play video games.

- If Elon Musk himself would choose you to conquer Mars, what three things would you take with you?

- One thing is enough for me, this is a photograph of my family. Whatever happens, she will help me move forward.

- What would a science fiction film about you be called?

- The Martian.

- What ending of this film would you like?

- I would definitely like a happy ending, where harmony, idyll and love reign throughout the world.

- What advice would you give the girls to make them go into science more boldly?

- Believe in yourself, and in your capabilities, to realize yourself in all directions for which there is interest and passion. Don't limit yourself and don't be afraid to express yourself. You deserve the best!

Some information about the heroine of the interview: Asel entered the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev in 2017. For 4 years of study, she took an active part in student life. She was the head of HR at the university club "Enactus AUES". Asel also participated with the team in several scientific conferences on the topic "Recycling of plastic for a 3D printer" and "Methods for cleaning air with ground limestone." She participated in the events of the week "Formation of the Kazakhstani model of civil servant" of the educational program "State and local government" from the “Turan” University.

In 2021, Asel graduated from the university. She got her Bachelor's degree in specialty “Life Safety and Environmental Protection”. In the same year, Asel entered the master's program in the same specialty.. At the moment, she participates in webinars of the International Center for Green Technologies and Investment Projects NJSC on the topics of green economy, ecology and green innovative technologies.
