An Open Day has been held at AUPET

On December 26, 2021, an Open Day for applicants was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. Only 450 people attended the event. Representatives of the university showed applicants the classrooms and laboratories and provided all the information about the future profession and training programs. The competitive advantages of AUPET are highly qualified faculty and centers of competence and laboratories from leading companies in the fields of energy, industry, telecommunications and IT-technologies markets.

The main focus of AUPET is successful graduates! The employment rate of our graduates is 90%. For 45 years more than 40 thousand engineers have graduated from AUPET. Each of our graduates is a separate success story. There is not a single TOP-company or leading organization in the field of energy, telecommunications and IT in the country where AUPET graduates do not work.

The priority of the university is to create the most favorable conditions for study and leisure. So, last year we provided 800 of the most gifted freshmen with new laptops with the latest generation processor, this year - 1500. We provide students with the most necessary tools for quality learning. In addition, for the leisure of students, gazebos with solar panels for charging gadgets, benches and installations were built on the territory of the hostels. The workout area with sports facilities was opened. In general, the material and technical base of the university includes three educational and laboratory buildings, four dormitories, a sports complex and an assembly hall. There are four institutes in the structure of the university: the Institute of Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering, the Institute of Heat Power Engineering and Heat Engineering, the Institute of Control Systems and Information Technologies, the Institute of Space Engineering and Telecommunications. There are 17 departments, College of Power Engineering and Telecommunications, 10 research laboratories, including 3 accredited and 1 International Research Laboratory "Cybersecurity Technologies", Institute for Advanced Studies, CISCO Regional Academy for the Central Asia and Baltic States, Oracle Academy, Academy Huawei, Microsoft Regional Academy, Innovation Center "AUPET Innovation", business incubator, school of robotics and 3D-printing, youth center "Entel".

Representatives of the university told the applicants during the presentation of "AUPET" this information and many other things. Then the applicants passed trial testing to evaluate their knowledge at the upcoming passing of the Unified National Test. The testing was carried out jointly with the educational center “UniDem”. 

The Open Day at AUPET ended with giving of gifts.

The event was held in compliance with all sanitary and hygienic standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
