The Institute of Electricity and Electrical Engineering continues cooperation with the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov
On February 3, 2022, an online meeting between colleagues of the Faculty of Energy of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (KSTU) and the Institute of Electricity and Electrical Engineering of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev (AUPET) was held.
“Together we continue cooperation on many issues. Our fraternal countries are united by one energy space. Last week, an accident occurred at the Syrdarya TPP in Uzbekistan. This accident showed that we depend on each other. Now experts from AUPET work as part of the commission to investigate violations in the electrical networks of KEGOC. And the vector of our relations with neighbors is not limited to this. We are impressed by the level of development of hydropower in Kyrgyzstan, and your experience in this industry is relevant for our country,” said Almaz Saukhimov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovation Activities of AUPET, at the beginning of the meeting.
The issues of organizing the Summer School in Kyrgyzstan were the main ones at the meeting. “There are plans to launch a summer camp for Kazakh students. The potential of the Energy Faculty of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov in these matters is serious. And we have a lot of work to do,” said Zhubanysh Abdimuratov, director of the AUPET Institute of Electricity and Electrical Engineering.
Representatives of Kyrgyzstan greeted the participants of the meeting and confirmed their adherence to the previously signed memorandum with AUPET. “It is gratifying that our common aspirations have taken shape in a memorandum of cooperation. Then, after the signing, our colleagues spoke warmly about your university. I am sure that today's meeting will be even more useful. Our joint potential and resources will definitely grow,” said Bekzhan Torobekov, Vice-Rector for Development and the State Language of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
“We would like to cooperate more closely in the area of student mobility. We must agree on Working Curricula. After all, the organization of the Summer School depends on it. We want to express our sympathy and condolences to the people of Kazakhstan in connection with the January events. I wish peace and goodness to fraternal Kazakhstan,” said Zhalalidin Galbaev, Dean of the Energy Faculty of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
After discussing working topics, the Kyrgyz partners held a virtual tour of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov. Head of the Department of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Scriabina Nurzat Karaeva delivered a short speech. Ertugan Umbetkulov, Head of the Department “Electric Power Systems” of AUPET, spoke about the work of our specialists in the commission for the investigation of an accident in the power system of Atyrau.
