Successful businessmen invest in business projects “Startup Bolashaq”100 mln tenge

The business reality show "Startup Bolashaq" is a republican competition of business projects, implemented on the initiative of the Bolashak Association. The competition is aimed at supporting business initiatives of entrepreneurs for the further development of quality of life standards, the transfer of advanced knowledge and technologies to the socio-economic life of the country.

In the fifth season of the competition, participants will learn new rules. Instead of grants, the finalists will receive large investments from well-known Kazakh entrepreneurs - business angels: Kanysh Tuleushin, Yerlan Issekeshev, Armanzhan Baitasov, Murat Abdrakhmanov, Gaukhar Kapparova, Timur Turlov, Kairat Kudaibergen, Yerkin Dlimbetov, Beibit Alibekov, Dinara Satzhan, Timur Karabaev, Bakhyt Uksikbaev and Nurgisa Zhumagulov.

“This year we expect a record number of applications, as we are seeing increased interest from entrepreneurs from all regions of Kazakhstan. We will present this season in a new format similar to the world reality show "Dragons Den". We are very grateful that our project is supported by well-known leaders in their industries who are ready to provide comprehensive support to our participants and take them to a new level,” said Kanysh Tuleushin, general partner of the competition.

The total investment will be more than 100 million tenge. In the business battle, the business angels of the project will select 10 promising business ideas. It should be noted that in the fifth season of the competition there are no age restrictions and priorities by industry, i.e. projects can be presented in any field of activity.

The minimum amount of financing for one project is from 10,000,000 tenge. Both start-ups and existing entrepreneurs can take part in order to further scale their business.

The project will take place in several stages. Participants will take part in the filming of a television reality show on the republican channel. They will receive mentoring and consulting support from leading business experts who will support and teach modern business methods, offer various tools and resources to build long-term interaction between investors and representatives of the best business projects of the competition.

The final of the republican competition "Startup Bolashaq" will be held in Almaty. Expenses of participants for travel, accommodation and meals are paid at the expense of the organizers.

One of the important activities of the Bolashak Association is the support of entrepreneurial initiatives and the development of entrepreneurship. In this direction, since 2015, the Association has been holding a republican competition of business projects "Startup Bolashaq". Over the five years of the competition's existence, 4 seasons have been held and more than 5,000 business ideas have been considered.

This year, as part of its 20th anniversary, the Bolashak Association, together with its general partner, the private investment fund Alawwal Partners, is holding the fifth season in a new format with the participation of successful businessmen from Kazakhstan.
