Children from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan learn the basics of robotics at the school \"DAU key to be clever\"

On February 21, 2022, the opening of a free school on robotics and 3D modeling "DAU key to be clever" was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. “This is very interesting and cool! We were shown here how to properly assemble the robot. Thank you AUPET for this opportunity. When I grow up, I will definitely become a roboticist and a cool engineer,” said Sanjar, a junior high school student, sharing his impressions.

Certified specialists of the university opened the interesting and informative world of robotics for the children. The knowledge gained will help them develop basic skills in modeling and designing robotic systems.

The launch of the school took place thanks to the support of the director of the Institute of Telecommunications and Space Engineering Kuanysh Alipbaev. “This school was established in 2016, but due to the 2019 pandemic, work was temporarily suspended. This year we launched this wonderful project again. This is a free 2-week robotics workshop. There are a lot of applicants, and age categories are different. We even signed up from Bishkek, which is only pleasing. Last year, we invited children with disabilities, that is, we conducted inclusive education. Now we have a flow of the youngest children up to 10 years old, later guys up to 13 years old will come, then from 13 to 16 years old. These guys are taught by our masters - to learn the basics of engineering and robotics. We will carry out such actions constantly. And I wish the guys to learn more boldly and develop in this direction,” he said.
