Congratulations of the Rector of AUES Saule Sagintayeva on the Day of Gratitude

Dear faculty, staff and students!

I congratulate you on Thanksgiving Day! This wonderful holiday has a special meaning - because today we turn our eyes to the past, when during the deportation of peoples, the ancient Kazakh land met, accepted, fed and warmed thousands and thousands of people repressed by the Stalinist regime. In independent Kazakhstan, these people and their descendants continue to remember and thank the Kazakh people for the generosity, compassion and kindness shown in those difficult years. These sincere human feelings predetermined the celebration of Thanksgiving Day.

Today we thank each other for the kindness, the help rendered in due time and just for a kind word in a difficult moment. Such simple, human feelings and actions give rise to unity and harmony in the hearts of Kazakhstanis. And all the recent successes of our university are connected precisely with this. Together we managed to come together and overcome the recent challenges. In the most difficult days of January, they found a common hope for tomorrow.

I express my sincere gratitude to each of you for your invaluable contribution to the development of the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.
