Non-profit JSC "Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev", together with the Department of Almaty, are holding a competition of creative works "Share with us"

The purpose of the "Separate with Us" creative work of competition is to identify talented schoolchildren, to develop and to implement their ideas in the field of separate waste collection.

In a year, one person produces more than 500 kg of waste, 95% of which is stored in landfills, releasing toxic substances for hundreds of years. From 60 to 80% of the stored waste is recyclable, which is possible for further processing. By organizing separate waste collection at home and in the organization, people contribute to the improvement of the environmental situation and save energy. The value of waste sorting is to reduce the share of stored waste in reducing the area of ​​solid waste landfills. The competition will be held in the following categories:

1. The best idea "Organization of separate collection of waste in the house";

2. The best idea "Organization of separate collection of waste in an organization (school)";

3. The best idea "Container for separate collection of waste."

The jury, which includes experts in the field of ecology, "green economy" and sustainable development, will select 3 winners in each category. Winners and prize-winners will be awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
