“Now Russian hypersound has 10,000 km/h.” Meeting with the CEO of company “SPUTNIX”

 

On April 8, 2022, a meeting of students with CEO of company “SPUTNIX” Vladislav Ivanenko and Development Director of company “SPUTNIX” Anatoly Kopik was held at Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. This meeting was held as part of the Kazakhstan Smart Space International Competition.

 - I want to thank Kazakhstan and the people of Kazakhstan for allowing us to create and launch satellites! Ivanenko said. - We launched 10 vehicles from Baikonur. Vs plan to launch 10 spacecraft this year. For you, dear students of AUPET, it will be interesting to know that the company “SPUTNIX” began with a group of enthusiasts, graduates of the Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman. And today we have grown into a large company that designs, assembles and launches small spacecraft. Our success story can inspire you too! There are inventions in AUPET, and representatives of our company "SPUTNIX" could help you to implement the most daring projects. We have unique experience and knowledge for this. You, students of AUPET, could take part in Russian competitions, as well as launch 2 satellites every year.

Anatoly Kopik, Development Director of the company, in his speech tried to inspire AUPET students to do great things. “Space is not that far away. If you keep doing your projects, you can reach incredible orbits. This is an extremely interesting activity! Thousands of schoolchildren and students from all over the world are already assembling their satellites and launching them into space. Let's keep up with them! Dream! Go ahead!” he said.

At the end of the event, a representative of the AUPET press center asked questions to Vladislav Ivanenko, General Director of the company “SPUTNIX”.

- Can hypersonic technologies reduce the cost of small spacecraft launches?

- Yes, it is quite possible, given the level of development of hypersonic technologies in Russia. Now Russian hypersound has 10,000 km/h. The air launch of a satellite using the Kinzhal rocket can significantly increase the competitiveness of the Russian space industry.

- What does private space face in the CIS countries?

- This problem is relevant in all countries of the world: private space companies cannot work without the participation of the state. Each company must have key projects and contracts with the state. Therefore, the most important thing is the order.

- Now in China, private space companies are developing the building of floating spaceports . Why has progress in this direction stopped a little in Russia?

- Ukraine stopped the production of launch vehicles of the Zenit family for sea launch. In Russia, engineers continue to adapt the Soyuz-5 rocket for this platform.

- Will private space companies in the US, Europe and Russia be able to find common ground and save the world?

- We are definitely not the saviors of civilization (laughs). We have good points of contact with Kazakhstan, and we will develop our cooperation with Kazakh universities. This is interesting for us.
