WE CONGRATULATE AZHIEV KANAT OMIRZAKOVICH ON 60TH ANNIVERSARY!

On April 24, 2022, Associate Professor of the Department for Language Studies, Candidate of Philological Sciences Azhiev Kanat Omirzakovich turns 60 years old.

Azhiev Kanat Omirzakovich in 1993 graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh State University with a degree in Kazakh Language and Literature and Arabic. Kanat Omirzakovich was sent by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kyzylorda Pedagogical Institute named after N.V. Gogol (KSU named after Korkyt Ata). There he worked until 2015 as a teacher, then as a senior lecturer and head of the department. For high achievements in the training of future specialists, Kanat Omirzakovich was awarded the Korkyt Ata Gold Medal.

From 1997 to 2001, Kanat Omirzakovich studied at the correspondence postgraduate course of Al-Farabi Kazakh State University. In 2004, he successfully defended his PhD thesis.

Since 2015, Associate Professor Azhiev K.O. works at AUPET at the department for Language Studies. Kanat Omirzakovich teach the disciplines: “Kazakh language”, “Professional Kazakh language”, “Fundamentals of scientific research and academic writing”. Azhiev K.O. compiled educational and methodological complexes of these disciplines. Kanat Omirzakovich productively uses innovative methods and information and communication technologies in the process of teaching the Kazakh language to students of the Russian audience.

Kanat Omirzakovich is the author of the monograph "A. Nurpeisov's Creative Laboratory", the textbook "Professional Kazakh Language", five guidelines, more than sixty scientific articles. Some of them were published in journals recommended by the Education and Science Control Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as in publications indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index. Kanat Omirzakovich is engaged in the study of the poetics of Kazakh prose, issues of literary translation, as well as the study of topical problems of language training of students of a technical university and digitalization of the educational process. He takes an active part in international scientific conferences. He systematically attends refresher courses.

Azhiev K.O. made a contribution to the methodological provision of students of the Kazakh groups of AUPET with educational publications in the Kazakh language in the disciplines of the specialty. He translated from Russian into Kazakh the study guide "Analysis and risk assessment of industrial and environmental activities", and also edited the study guide in Kazakh language "Space Materials Science".

Kanat Omirzakovich in 2015-2017 was the deputy dean for work in the hostel. As a specialist of the Department for educational work, he translated from Russian into Kazakh the current documents and other materials of the named unit.

Kanat Omirzakovich is the organizer of the annual university Olympiad in the Kazakh language. He actively participates in organizing and conducting educational activities of the department and the university. Azhiev K.O. is a member of the trade union organization AUES.

Kanat Omirzakovich from 2008 to 2019 was the representative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for conducting the Unified National Testing and External Assessment of Educational Achievements in Secondary Education. He was repeatedly awarded with diplomas and letters of thanks from the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
