​ Olympiad in English “A different language is a different vision of life”

On April 11, 2022, the second round of the Olympiad in English among 1st year students at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev was held. The theme was “A different language is a different vision of life”.

Commission Chairman G.S. Akhetova delivered a welcoming speech. “Dear students! English is slowly but surely entering our everyday life. It becomes not only the language of interethnic communication, but also an excellent tool for obtaining the most advanced knowledge. It expands our horizons and increases our competitiveness. Today's Olympics is an opportunity to overcome the language barrier and improve English proficiency,” she said.

The members of the commission were A.Zh. Myrzabaeva, E.S. Aldengozhaeva, T.M. Mukhtarov and T.E. Saparbekov.

Results of the Olympiad in English :

1st place - Enlik Milatova;

2nd place - Ansar Yusupov, Svetlana Tsoi;

3rd place - Inkar Nauryzbekova, Kuanysh Abiyev, Shugyla Amangeldy.
