The Central State Archive of Film and Photo Documents and Sound Recordings of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a unique and one of a kind archive of the visual memory of the country. Film documents dating back to the 20s of the last century are stored here: about 50 thousand items; 200 thousand photo storage units and 17 thousand audio document storage units.

The meeting began with a lecture by the Deputy Director of the Central State Archive of Film and Photo Documents and Sound Recordings of the Republic of Kazakhstan S.A. Thanks to their dedication and heroism, we now have the opportunity to get in touch with living history and “feel the taste and color” of those fiery years.
