Meeting of students of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev with Colonel Aygazin Salem

On May 5, 2022, a meeting of students with a process engineer for front-line aviation, Colonel Seil Aygazin, was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. It was held on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day in the library. The Director of the Department  " Youth Policy" Zarema Abdullina opened the meeting. “I want to thank our dear guest for the visit and express my deep respect to him. You are so similar to my father, who also devoted his life to serving the Motherland. Such people keep our sky peaceful! And I hope that the students who come here will link their fate with the army in the future, since many specialties of our university are in high demand among the troops. The best people have always gone there. Therefore, dear students, follow the example of our guest and be true patriots!” she said.

In his speech, Colonel Seil Aigazin spoke about patriotism through the biography of the legendary attack pilot, twice Hero of the Soviet Union,  and participant of   WWII  Talgat Begeldinov. “He is the only twice Hero of the Soviet East. This man is capitalized. He was born in the steppe. He overcame many difficulties and obstacles to become an ace. Begeldinov accounted for 7 downed enemy planes, including the “Messer” of Captain von Dietrich, famous in the Third Reich. This inspires more than one generation of Kazakhstanis. We must learn to be courageous and brave from such great people!” he said.

At the end of the meeting, memorable gifts from AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev were presented to the distinguished guest.
