Senior prosecutors of Bostandyk district have held a conversation with students of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev

On May 13, 2022, an information and explanatory conversation with students was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. The theme of the event was "Pyramid schemes, social media scams and the harm of illegal substances." Senior Prosecutors Birlik Birimkulov and Arhat Amangeldyuly; narcologist at the “Mental Health Center” Aktolkyn Zhuzdybayeva; Civil activists from the Public Fund “Rahym” Bibinur Sheralieva and Madina Toshgaykyzy met with the students.

- Dear students, now representatives of financial pyramids are targeting Kazakhstani youth. QNET and other similar organizations invite you to participate in dubious schemes - auctions, auctions, marketplaces, network marketing. They inspire you to involve your friends, relatives and loved ones. You involve them in a pyramid. Ultimately: You lose money and become bankrupt. Our law enforcement agencies are fighting financial pyramid schemes and fraud. 1600 criminal cases were filed in the city of Almaty, of which only 400 were solved. The main problem is financial pyramids, and scammers operate from countries near and far abroad, and they also try to hide behind the law. "Be carefull!" - said the senior prosecutor Birlik Birimkulov.

Civil activists Bibinur Sheralieva and Madina Toshgaykyzy had an honest conversation with students. “Greed and thirst for easy money are pushing people to the idea of taking part in a financial pyramid. Some people think that you can earn some extra money and then get out of this vicious system. But it's not! Nobody came out dry! Swindlers also act like this: they invite young people to fashionable places, throw money and ride expensive cars, thereby instilling the thought: I did it and you can do it! It's horrible! Here Madina was an English teacher and went bankrupt in two years because of QNET. The family turned away from her, she was kicked out of the house. She can't get a job, her bank accounts are blocked, she has loans hanging on her. Now she lives in our center and is waiting for the adoption of the law on bankruptcy of individuals. So, think and learn financial literacy! Do not fall for the tricks of scammers!” Bibinur Sheralieva said.

Narcologist at the “Mental Health” Center Aktolkyn Zhuzdybayeva spoke about the problem of combating modern illicit substances sold through social networks.

At the end of the event, civil activist Bibinur Sheralieva shared her contacts. You can turn to her for help if you have become a victim of financial pyramids and scammers.
