Republican Referendum 2022: absentee ballots for the right to vote

On June 5, 2022 the Republican Referendum on changing the Constitution will be held in the Republic of Kazakhstan. A citizen who has the right to participate in a referendum (hereinafter referred to as a referendum participant), when changing his place of residence, has the opportunity from May 20 to 18:00 on June 4 to apply to the precinct commission at the place of registration with an application for an absentee certificate. He must present an identity document. An absentee certificate for the right to vote may be issued to a representative of a referendum participant by proxy, in which case a copy of the proxy is attached to the application.

An absentee certificate shall not be issued to referendum participants wishing to vote in another referendum precinct within the same locality. On June 5, upon presentation of an absentee certificate, the precinct commission on voting day includes the referendum participant in the list of citizens entitled to participate in the republican referendum at the polling station at the place of his stay.
