Alumni Meeting of different years

On May 28, 2022, the Alumni Meeting of different years was held at the Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev. “Dear graduates of the Almaty Institute of Power Engineering, the Almaty Institute of Power Engineering and Telecommunications and Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications named after Gumarbek Daukeyev! I am glad to welcome you all! The meeting of graduates of different years of graduation speaks of the continuity of generations. This is our first meeting in the last two years. A significant event was the assignment of the name of Gumarbek Zhusupbekovich Daukeyev to our university in 2019. (...) This year, 1300 new specialists will join the number of graduates!” – the Rector Saule Sagintayeva said at the opening. In her speech, the Rector Saule Sagintayeva told the graduates about the impressive success of the university in strengthening the quality of teaching. The goal is to acquire not only deep knowledge, but also relevant professional skills in the labor market by students.

Also, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev Serikbek Daukey; Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Advisor to the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Zhersu Corporation Askar Iskakov and statesman of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC “KEGOC”, member of the Board of Directors of JSC “Kazakhoil” Asygat Zhabagin delivered a speech.

Members of the Board of Trustees, founders of nominal scholarships and honorary graduates received letters of thanks for their support and cooperation signed by the Rector of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev Saule Savetovna Sagintayeva.

Kairat Rsymbetov, Director of the Center for Certification of ICT, Specialists of LLP “IT QCC”, awarded certificates from the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" to university students for successfully passing testing in the IT direction.

The alumni meeting was ended with a group photo. Creative performances were presented by talented students from the student clubs of AUPET named after Gumarbek Daukeyev.
