General Meeting of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The general meeting of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Association of Universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, was held on August 27. Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek; Deputy Chairman of the Board of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" Timur Nakhipbekov and Rectors of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the meeting.

The main issues concerned the development of university science, the possibility of updating the laboratory facilities, employment and employment of university graduates, in particular through support mechanisms for young companies (business incubators, accelerators, technology parks).

The main message of this event is that universities should become points of growth for the economy of regions and industries. This requires synchronization of the labor market and education.

Rectors of universities discussed current problems in the formation of a contingent, planning the state educational order in accordance with the needs of regions and industries, issues of quality control in the system of science and education, issues of corporate governance in universities.

The minister outlined the main priorities of the ministry. The focus of its work is shifting to risk prevention based on data analytics in order to inform universities in a timely manner about the patterns and trends of changes in the labor market.

As the great thinker Al-Farabi said "The future of a country without science is bleak". Therefore, it is good that the financing of science and programs for the support and development of scientific intellectual potential will be significantly increased.

The intentions voiced by the Minister and the actions taken inspire healthy optimism and inspire universities to work together with business and the state.
